WELCOME TO 2023, THE STRAIGHT4 NEWSLETTER, AND A (KINDA) NEW SIM RACING STUDIO!

It’s the start of something new, but the first month at Straight4 felt a lot like coming back from Christmas break. With the franchise that much of the team were consumed by for over a decade cancelled, returning to work in January was all about saying “hi” to old colleagues and friends amid the shared excitement of beginning production on a whole new generation of sims. 

One of the first documents that was shared around the new studio (aside from the Game Design Bible) was the “lessons learned” deck from the “game that shall never again be named”. Biggest takeaway? Get back to basics: simulation (hardcore), and community (first and foremost). Which is why you’re being invited to “join the journey” right from day one.
